Cognitive Neuroscience

Neuroscience is a remarkably broad subject - especially considering that it is really just about an organ in your head. The saying in the field is that neuroscience encompasses "everything from molecules to mind" is quite true. This class will be concerned with the end of that continuum. We will be exploring how cells give rise to mind in all its variety.

This class will address how our memory works, how we pay attention, speak, learn and plan our actions. We will also spend quite some time on what happens when things go wrong with the cells in our heads.
